I am exhausted after this weekend. It consisted of extremely late nights and fairly early mornings. Ok, not really "early" mornings, but when you are staying up until 2 or 3 several nights in a row, you need a day to majorly sleep in.
Friday night Mallory came over and we made cupcakes for my friend Charli's B'day on Saturday. They were soooo cute! I'm going to post a picture of them as soon as I get a copy. Because we didn't start making the cupcakes until 11pm, we were up until 2:30 trying to get them finished. When it comes to stuff like that I am so detailed oriented. I needed the colored sprinkles (but not the little ball ones). The only ones I found had brown sprinkles mixed in with all of the pretty colors :( I mentioned to Mallory while we were at Wal-Mart that we would have to pick the brown ones out (They just didn't make them look as good). Mallory laughed. I guess she thought I was kidding..... but I wasn't :) So one by one, we picked them out. Mallory had no idea what she was getting into when she agreed to help. Oh, and it took 2 and a half hours to make about 20 cupcakes. But once you see how cute they were, you will understand!
Then Saturday morning we got up and went to our friends Brent and April Cooper's house to watch the Bama game. They are the cutest little married couple ever and I love them! Charli learned how to give a head massage in "beauty school" this past week and so all of the girls lined up to let her "practice." Once her school salon opens up, I'll probably be there every week getting a shampoo, or whatever service I can come up with, just so I can get the complementary head massage that comes with it. They are amazing!
This is a picture of all of the girls.

My friend Charli has been on the mission field for the past two years. She just recently got back. She is the most mission oriented person I have ever met. She's actually going to beauty school so that she can take that back overseas. She loves people from other countries and seems to know every non-American in Birmingham. I always tell her she has this secret life with her other friends. She is very fluent in Spanish and loves hanging out with Spanish speaking people.
Charli is the one who introduced us to Salsa dancing. Unfortunately for Charli, salsa is only once a month, but lucky for her it was this past Saturday night which was also on her birthday. She is a Salsa queen! As for the rest of us though, we are just white people who are trying to look like we fit in. It doesn't take long for everyone to see that we are not really regulars in the salsa department. But we still have so much fun doing it!

We didn't get home until 2:30 in the morning. Then got up and went to church on Sunday morning. I was so zoned out all day.
On Sunday nights we do this new thing called Link. It's not new to everyone else, but it is new to me. Everyone gets together (college and singles) and eats and then someone shares their testimony. It's so neat to hear about these people that we know, but we really don't know them.
We also got in groups and everyone planned a mission opportunity for all of the groups to do. We start those in October. I've had so much fun hanging out with these people over the past few months!
I know that I am definitely back in B'ham for a reason!
